About macel studios
Creative infrastructure for independent practice.
MACEL is a Toronto-based fashion brand and creative platform dedicated to providing the infrastructure, resources, and opportunities that allow independent creators to make, develop, present, and sustain their work.
Make. Develop. Present. Connect. Sustain.
Practice
A place to make things happen.
Independent creative practice is often built without the infrastructure to support it.
MACEL creates that infrastructure. We bring together the tools, production capabilities, knowledge, people, spaces, and opportunities needed to move an idea from development into the world.
MACEL is a place of assembly - for ideas, objects, and people.
Work
MACEL develops and operates resources for independent creative production.
This can include:
- Production
- From prototyping and fabrication to larger-scale creative projects.
- Equipment & Resources
- Access to tools and infrastructure that make experimentation and production possible.
- Creative Development
- A space for ideas, practices, research, and projects to evolve.
- Presentations & Events
- Public formats that bring creative work into contact with audiences.

How do memberships work?
Memberships give access to studio floors, shared tools, and programming - structured around the pace of your practice rather than a one-size schedule. See Membership.
